Information Technologies into Chinese Teaching

With the advancement of telecommunication and media, all kinds of information is around us. If teachers can make good use of the information and technologies available, it sure can bring more varieties and fun to the class and as a result, boost us studesnts' learning interests. We can easily find many well-created CAI materials in the martket and through the hands-on experiences, children can greatly improve the language skills. Teachers can take advantage of the new teaching media and come up with many different ways of teaching approach. Being in class will never be a boring thing and students and teachers get to learn and grow together.

At YungKang, our school is fully supportive providing TV, computer, internet connection, computer to tv adapter and speakers to any teachers that are willing to try multimedia teaching. Teachers can get on the internet for research, use application software to create and edit teaching materials, create study sheet, play multimedia cds or run CAI softwares. Students also get the chance to learn through the CAI programs, finding information online, learning how to create reports or demostrate their study sheet.

The followings are some real examples:

1. Study Sheet Sharing:
Teacher can either scan or present the study sheet file through TV sceen. Children are happy that their own work can be shown in front of the rest of the class and they get a chance to review their peer's work.
