Computer is part of life or means everything to modern persons who live 21st century. In addition to it, it is getting more important in many areas like society, economy, education etc. Especially, using the internet for real-time communication is effective in the view of practical usage. When someone can not operate computer, he/she will seems to be behind the times. Users can be addicted to do the Internet and they have to do that even several minutes a day. Like this, computer becomes important so much, so vocational high schools must provide a class of computer practicing to the students.

Sometimes, there happen many of problems to go through practices using computer. I wish to prepare for an opportunity to look for the problems and solutions together in this report.

(For reference, Jecheon Digital Electronic High School has 3 classes for digital info-communications, 2 classes for digital media course, and 13 computer-usable laboratories, and 300 computers with the internet main speed 10 Mbps, and LAN speed 100 Mbps. Each of classes consists of 30 students, and those 5 classes are for a grade.)

First, when practice computer, let's examine problems once

1) Students intend only to play computer games.
2) Students try to do the Internet.
3) Assignments are easily copied through computers.
4) Students are not interested in the class and feel difficulties.
5) Students are not interested in the class, and oversimplify the lesson.
6) It is difficult to adjust the time schedule for the class and the number of student at the class progress.
7) There will be amblyopic or VDT (VISUAL DISPLAY TERMINAL) syndromes in the students.
8) There were been a lot of disabilities of computer.


And it is needed to check what the students like

1) Students like to go to computer lab better than classroom..
2) Students like to do the Internet.
3) Students like to play a game.
4) Students like to listen to music.
5) Students like to be the best.
6) Students like to show own opinions or own workings.
(As students expect replies for their articles, students desire response of someone.)

We had ever closed port to use firewall by solution method about presented problems over or intercept access of some site (game site, P2P site, adult site etc.). After changing port on offer site, students used to search site of another name. So, we tried to intercept the Internet by physical (Extract line.) in important time.

Though in occasion of off-line, there was a problem that studetns llistened to the music or play computer games program downloaded to CD and save medium. Teachers should like to establish large size mirror at the back of a laboratory in this case, but it is not acceptable to buy goods which is not directly related with the class. So, teachers could check students through the glass at the back of the laboratory such as showcase. (Figure 1)

First, when the students started to study, they had to turn off computer for teacher's explanation time. In this case, it was difficult to adjust between class progress and students assistance. Actually, the class is needed to progress step by step. It will help students and teachers practice on real-time. So we made an idea that a teacher would give a lecture behind the students.(Figure 2) But, only eye contact is helpful to go through the class between the teacher and the students.

Next, we intercepted and watched students’ computer to use computer management program or hard lock. By using products are

There were a lot of convenient offerings with various kinds of functions to manage monitoring for students or computer system but there happened unknown conflicts or errors among systems in this case, and problems at password administration in case of erase program are not loaded or needed new program. In the case of Windows XP, the computer can be turned in previous state if a problem happens and restoration function is basically offered.

It will be suitable for teacher to teach 15 students or so at the practice for smooth class progress with the students and the teacher. Teachers considered that they might allocate enough practice hours, so make students solve the assignment. It will be good for teachers to check the level difference of students and program utilities (http:// 210.99.113.5/silgo/) through pre-made class to coach a student individually and progresses a class. In this case, it seems to be more effective if teachers can controls computer for teacher using a radio mouse. If possible, progress class expressing monitor substances of students on screen are very helpful. (Figure 5) Subjects by individuals are good but it is effective that subject by 2 persons who are a good and superior student and an inferior student or subject by groups. (Figure 6) But, there are worries to check private development in this case. Therefore, the interaction of the students and the teacher may be attained through teacher's deep interest and attention.

Solutions and problems are always inconsistency like spear and shield. But, we think that it is better educate a person who knows personal positive and is always good then simple education that transmit simple knowledge to students.

해결 방법과 문제점은 항상 창과 방패와 같이 모순이 있고 끝이 없을 지도 모른다. 그러나 학생들에게 단순한 지식을 전달하는 것 보다 인간적인 정을 알고 항상 착하게 살수 있는 사람이 될 수 있도록 교육하는 것이 더 바람직한 교육이 아닐까 생각한다.
