Click and Cleaning!!

Purpose

To promote understanding how the economic development and environment preservation affect to our life by ALCoB learner(IEP)¡¯s co-operation through PBL (Project Based Learning) and make progress using ICT to share and learn environment preservation via Internet.

Contents/Methods/Activities

•Choose and run 'International environment protector'(IEP) in which consist of 15-25 AlcoB learners in each APEC country.
•All activity will be operated from teacher-centered into student-centered.
•The IEP is in charge of the web page http://www.inteep.org and www.alcob.com¡¯ s Click and Cleaning community.
•The http://www.inteep.org is run in 3 sections "In my house, In my school, In my country."
•Environment resources web page www.alcob.com¡¯ s Click and Cleaning community has

Opinion, discussion, articles, pictures, motion images on same and special environment problems and solution of each APEC country.
Web board to share each country¡¯s environment preservation activity, upload the influence between economic development and environmental preservation situation.

Cyber environment experience classroom
1. Environment preservation Flash Game from beginner, medium to superior¡¯s grade
(For primary, middle and high ALCoB learner level)
2. Environment multimedia book (By only text, pictures by digital camera, a cartoon, a comic strip by drawing software or scanner, PPT by power-point program and voice by recorder or blend mentioned above)
3. Environment Poster Museum (Display Environment Preservation and pollution)
Divide into 3 sections (Air, Land and Water)
¨ç Take a photograph about place and activity of environment preservation and pollution.
¨è Upload it into our Community
¨é Share it to discuss and find a right solution
4. Environment Preservation Experiment

¨è How to make?
¨é What do we need?

¨í Suggestion
¨î Make it by document, pictures, flash file, PPT file by Power-point software and so on and then upload it to share each other.
5. Environment Field-Study to learn and experience Environment preservation
¨ç Send a plan with a previous collected data via Internet and other things, pictures and budget
¨è Send a Result with a pictures, motion images and feed-back.

•AlCoB teacher and IEP will held ¡®International Environment Camp¡¯(IEC) twice in summer and winter vacation in a year.
ALCoB teacher and IEP hold a camp meeting one month before IEC to allot a part of work via messenger program.
The host country have to prepare lodging and transportation and camp materials.
At least 4 members of each country do participate in IEC.
Lecture in linking of environmental preservation and economy development by expert in environment.
IEP do environment preservation activity, experiment and interchange information.
All campers make a field investigation to issued destroyed environment place and well protected site.
All activity and research paper, pictures by IEP will be uploaded into web page and community.
After camp activity, IEP will do feedback about camp activity.

Expected Results

1.AlCoB learners (IEP) will understanding the importance of environment's problem in linking with economy development in our common life.
2. IEP will know how is the economic development affect environment and human life quality in their home, school and country. It will give a chance for IEP look around their neighborhood, country environment project issue and world environment preservation activity. What is more, they will recognize protecting environment is a precious thing than unconditional economy development.
3.During environment camp IEP can have an opportunity to consider relationship on economic benefit and environment destruction sort of project which finally lead to industrial complex. More they can access to environment preservation mind with various and easy and fun activity.
After all this activity AlCoB learners can share their experience and idea thought internet web page.

Strategies/Procedures

-Visit and some issued areas where people can learn, feel, experience the importance of environment.

6. Introduce and share the result and data:
Introduce the importance of environment and economy which lead to school stakeholders (students, teachers, administrators, school principles)' interest on
co-relation between them

7. Environment camp in summer or winter vacation.
- Select IEP and ALCoB teacher who can take part in camp.
- Have a on-line meeting by MSN messenger program before camp.


Activity :
1. Invite experts in section of economy and environment.
Have a lecture and do environment activity. For example remaking edible oil into a soap, gathering aluminum can, making a newspaper into a new paper, and making a natural perfume with fruit peelings ¡¦
