|Title Click and Cleaning!!


|Purpose

To promote understanding between the economic and environmental effect to our common life by co-operation ALCoB learners through PBL ( Project Based Learning )


|Contents

In the short term : Click and Cleaning!! Project have a on-line and off-line sections.
We will recruit AlCoB learners as a ¡®International environment protector¡¯. Then AlCoB learners and AlCoB teachers make a decision ¡®Which environment subject do we choose¡¯, ¡®How and Who will upload materials that we found and researched into web page¡¯ and ¡®How to connect another International environment protector via a internet or off line. AlCoB teachers have a role for each person who in charge of work out a program, manage a web page, running a ¡®International environment protector¡¯ in his/her school, provide a source to web page and AlCoB learners through internet.
AlCoB teachers will meet for a meeting once in every months to discuss, check up and improve on ¡®International environment protector¡¯ activity and plan environment camp.In the long term : Click and Cleaning!! Project will have a environment camp twice in summer and winter vacation for one night and two days. In this camp ¡®International environment protector¡¯ have an opportunity to take a expert¡¯s lectures about in connect with environment and economy development. During environment camp, AlCoB learners know how to remaking trash into useful things and meaning of recycle through planned fun activity. On last day, all campers will go environmental at issued site that environmental pollution or well protected place like swampy land that have a animals like seasonal bird, bugs to see, check and research. AlCoB teachers have a role for each person for environment camp in charge of draw up a plan, borrow camp building, facility and materials for camper¡¯s life and order in advance for food, transportation and insurance cost, seeking a expert who have a knowledge in connection with about environment and economy develment. Manage a web page and making a newsletter for advisement.

|Methods

Step by Step

1. Choose and run the 'International environment protector' In which consist of 15-20 students in each APEC economy. ¡®International environment protector¡¯ will be the leader of AlCoB learner.
1) It will be operated from teacher-centered to student-centered.
2) The AlCoB learner wear a T-shirt and hat on which there are words ¡®Click and Cleaning!!¡¯ by ¡®International environment protector¡¯
3) The AlCoB learner leader will be in charge of the web page.
4) The web-page will be operated in sections such as "In my house, In my school, In my country."
5) Environment resources
---> Pictures, motion images and articles on environment problems etc.
6) Think about and try to find answer and write into a bulletin board about environment problem in linking of Economy development.

2. Running environment experience camp
1) Invite experts in section of economy and environment.
2) Have a lectures and do environment activity
For example remaking edible oil into a soap, gathering aluminum can, making a old newspaper into a new paper, and making a natural perfume with fruit peelings ¡¦
3) Visit industrial complex and environment issue site where people can experience the importance of protecting environment.

3.Introduction of the idea on real-life domestic and state economy :
Introduce the importance of mixture of environment and economy which lead to students' interest on co-relation between them.
For example :
¡§ While we have economic convenience out of disposable commodities and provide lunch in school, we can let the students know that the environment destruction by that.
¡§ We can consider advantage and disadvantage between economic benefit and loss that originated from making a road in the Bukhan mountain.
¡§ We can have an opportunity to consider relationship on economic benefit and sea environment destruction by the Saemangum Project which finally lead to industrial complex.
¡§ We can have an opportunity to consider co-relationship between economic output from increase in the number of the cars and air pollution from exhaust from cars.

The points
1) AlCoB-learner centered activity
2) Environment preservation camp (on-line, off-line) ->taking lectures about preservation environment from experts, sharing each other's activity and experience, visiting environment organization.
3) To promote understanding how economic development and environment is related to.

4. Interchange of participants economy
1) AlcoB teachers do form an group. They will be a ¡®International environment protector¡¯ in which 15-20 AlcoB learners in each economy.
Under same subject, one hand there are same activity about preservation environment. The other hand, it¡¯s good if each economy have different issues, so each ¡®International environment protector¡¯ from different place will have more knowledge about environment issues.
In Indonesia, Dra. Lestyani yuniarsih,M.ED.Adm (Connecter between korea and Indonesia) connect Korean AlcoB with indonesian AlcoB environment expert who had been active managing mangrove, cause it was the important issue in Balikpapan and he had been sent to Thailand with three students last year for APEC Sister School Network (ASSN) focusing on Coastal Ecosystem. Now Another issue in Balikpapan is land erotion by the industry. And another issue in Kotabaru (South Kalimantan) is coal mining influence to the local environment.
So we are going to do environment preservation activity with each economy environmental issued problem. Or if the category is same, we will go into activity in partnership with Indonesian AlcoB teachers and learners.

: Dei secondary school (Singapore) ? Running environment protector will organize and manage the ¡®International environment protector¡¯. ¡®International environment protector¡¯ ¡®s activity will be continued to keep up study.
It can helps for AlcoB learners to understand and to be a protector of environment in their forever life.

Through this ¡®International environment protector¡¯ web page http://www.inteep.org/ ALcoB learners can upload and download their thinking, opinion and suggestion and image, motion clip about environment preservation. From this, the other ALcoB learners and teachers will know ¡®what¡¯s going on in other economy by ¡®International environment protector¡¯, ¡¯What¡¯s the different point of issue in environment preservation¡¯.

Off-line

1. ALcoB learners and teachers can access the web page in anytime when they want to upload camp activity file in each economy. Take an active part in environment camp will lead AlcoB learners enlarge their environment preservation experience. Also it can attract lots of students to think about environment preservation activity.

2. AlcoB teacher who want to go through and learn by direct actual experience with other economy AlcoB teacher has a plan to workshop in Korea and partner economy with ¡®International environment protector¡¯. It gives ability for AlcoB teachers to do various environment preservation activity. And also it place AlcoB teachers start a think about environment in another¡¯s place and it can expand and enlarge their idea hereafter.
It will be held in summer or winter vacation after environment camp.

¨ª ¡®International environment protector¡¯ will do lot¡¯s of fun activity about recycle with trash resource and litter, environment preservation.
¨ª All campers will make a field investigation on last day to a issued site about environment place and well protected site.
¨ª All activity and research paper, pictures by ¡®International environment protector¡¯ will be upload into web page.
¨ª After camp activity, ¡®International environment protector¡¯ will do feedback about camp activity.


|Expected Results

AlCoB learners will understanding the importance of environment's problem in linking with economy development in our common life.They will know how is the economic development effect environment and human life quality in their home, school and country. It will give a chance for AlCoB learners look around their neighborhood, country environment project issue and world environment preservation activity. What is more, they will recognize protecting environment is a precious thing than unconditional economy evelopment.Moreover, during environment camp AlCoB learners as a ¡®International environment protector¡¯ can have an opportunity to consider relationship on economic benefit and environment destruction sort of by the Saemangum project and the shihwa lake Project which finally lead to industrial complex. More they can access to preservation environment mind with various and easy and fun activity.After all this activity AlCoB learners can share their experience and idea thought internet web page.
