|Title Let's play, Let's be friend
|Purpose
The goal of this project is to give our children chances to have fun and keep them healthy by engaging in games, and to have them cooperate each other by understanding the culture of APEC community.
|Contents/ Methods/ Activities
I. Action
Plan
1.Each community chooses two or three games of their own.
2.Make lesson plans for each item using ICT
3. Make teaching materials so that the teachers of other communities can
teach the games easily
4. Use English but minimize the language using not to be interfered by
language barrier
5. Apply the teaching materials to related curriculum in schools.
6. Inform ALCoBs of other communities on Home page and by e-mails
7. Each community apply for participation and choose the item.
8. Hold a regular on-line and off-line meeting
9. Hold an Olympic games for each item.
10. Hold a ˇ°Playˇ± Olympic games during IACE international conference or
in a particular place
II. Criteria of selecting game item
The game should
A. not be complicated for preparation and rules
B. be helpful for whole person education
C. not be too traditional
D, be popular among young people in the local community
E. not be individual but requiring cooperation and interaction
III. Role of a teacher
A. mediator
Teacher should be a fair mediator who creates atmosphere.
B. promoter
Teacher should give proper stimulus to help students comprehend the contents,
materials, and procedure of the game.
C. participant
Teacher should participate in the game in person and help students join
the game.
