The 3rd Steering Committee Meeting for the APEC Future Education Consortium
Busan, Korea / 9 September 2005 / 16 representatives of member economies
The Steering Committee members reviewed the outcomes of the 1st APEC Future Education Forum and deliberated how to develop and improve the forum. Regarding relevant activities, the member suggested the practical ways to develop the outcomes of the consortium’s activities and the future steps for the next year. In addition, the members agreed to propose a new project for the grant call of the APEC Education Foundation.
Most of all, the members welcomed to publish a booklet to share the achievements of the forum and specify the research topics. Regarding the next forum, Viet Nam will host it under the theme of “Harmonizing Technology and Human values.” Prior to the forum, the 2nd APEC Workshop for Future Education Forum will be held in Brunei.
In conclusion, Korea asked the members to response to the survey for e-Learning Training Center Program which was recognized at the 27th APEC HRD WG Meeting. With the result of the survey, the program will be essential for strengthening human resources development for member economies.
