ORIENTATION MANAGEMENT

1. OBJECTIVE

This orientation is designed by the IACE(Institute of APEC Cyber Education) joining EPIK 2006. Before placed as a Native Speaker for English Education in Provincial Offices of Education, all of you are requested to take some pre-education courses. This orientation will provide all of you with both the pedagogical and cultural knowledge needed to effectively adapt to their role in Korea.

2. ORIENTATION AIMS

a. To understand the Korean English Curriculum and practice teaching methods so that you can adapt to their role in the classroom effectively.

b. To enhance your understanding of Korea through lectures and discussions.

c. To experience Korean culture, tradition, and heritage through planned field trips.

3. NAME : BEP 2006 (Busan English Program 2006)

4. PERIOD OF ORIENTATION : March. 6th (Mon.) ~ 10th (Fri.) (5 days)

 

ORIENTATION GUIDELINES

<<General Rules>>

All participants are expected to adhere to the following rules:

a. All classes are mandatory. Please refer to the daily schedule at the front of this guide.

b. During the orientation, please use your assigned seats as attendance will be taken by the seating system.

c. Be sure to dress appropriately. You are required to wear professional casual attire. Please wear your ID card at all times.

d. You are to notify the EPIK office if you will be absent from classes. Damaging any facility equipment will result in a fine.

f. Smoking is strictly prohibited (not allowed) inside any University buildings including lecture rooms.  

g. Locate fire escapes and fire equipment in case of emergency.

h. Please keep your valuables with you or safely locked away.
